Why?
ambtwo is a company formed by two women, who designed a novel way of preventing accidents by creating a reflective cover for rucksacks especially designed for people who use bikes, motorbikes, quads, rollerblades, as well as schoolchildren, hikers, skiers and vulnerable road users etc.
We think that this simple but effective idea of covering your child's schoolbag with a reflective cover is an excellent way of making them more visible on their way to school, on school outings, excursions etc.
What does ambtwo mean?
The concept of "ambtwo" signifies various things; amb means "with" and two refers to the fact that there are two of us, it is also a play on the word "tu" (in Spanish) meaning "you". So the words together "with you" emphasize the idea that the cover should always be with you and your rucksack.
Where did the idea come from?
The idea came from the need to make people who are out and about more visible, something simple that could adapt easily to the outside of any conventional size of bag or rucksack. And so the first prototype was made...
After showing the cover to friends and family, they all agreed that it is an ideal way to help avoid accicidents, to travel, for motorbikes, especially when it rains, for trekking, skiing, etc.
Once the trademark was registered we set out to look for contacts related to the world of two wheeled transport and accident prevention. We would like to add our thanks and gratitude to the following associations for their help and support in our project:
APAT - Association for the Prevention of Accidents, Stop Accidents,
TRACE - Association of Catalonia Traumatic Cranial and Brain Damage and many more who have praised our idea and encouraged us to go on.
Is the cover to be used at night?
Above all, it's very useful in low visibility conditions (with its reflective bands) but we also recommend that you put it on during the day because, among other things, it safeguards against theft and helps against loss of personal belongings.
What about quality?
It is made of approved fluorescent, waterproof material, the unique design is well finished and made in Spain.
Doesn't it look like a high visibility waistcoat?
Yes, and in this way it is associated with accident prevention. Wearing a waistcoat is a good safety precaution, but it is important to remember that if you put a rucksack on top of it, the reflective bands are covered.
The cover has additional advantages; it is comfortable, it does not make you hot and it folds into its own small kangaroo type pouch with a handle and a clip so you can take it anywhere when not in use.

It is inexpensive and you can buy it online through this website (see top of page) or directly from TRACE charity shop in Barcelona where you can buy the original product and also help towards education for the prevention of accidents and support people affected by accidents.
